Puente la Reina

Puente la Reina/Gares is located just 20 kms from Pamplona, in the valley of Ilzarbe or Valdizarbe. This chartered town boasts an important monumental and artistic legacy, offering visitors many different historic places of interest, including: the Romanesque bridge; the church of Santiago (St James) and the church of the Crucifijo (Crucifix), and the large ancestral houses lining the Main Street.

Puente la Reina can also serve as a starting point for trips to the Central area of Navarre, to visit interesting Romanesque attractions such as the churches of Santa Marķa de Eunate and San Miguel de Olcoz, the Roman town of Andelos (Mendigorrķa). the basilica of San Gregorio Ostiense (Sorlada), the walled enclosure of Artajona in addition to the many wineries located in the area, where wine can be purchased.
